We are looking for an Export Logistics Supervisor to oversee the efficient and timely transportation of goods for export. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking, scheduling and coordinating logistics activities, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations, and optimizing processes to meet customer requirements. The term of employment will be on a full-time basis for up to three years.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate export shipments, including negotiating rates with carriers and monitoring schedules.
  • Ensure strict compliance with export laws, regulations, customs documentation and permits, as well as company safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Supervise, plan and train the logistics staff in shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and keeping track of shipment, promoting adherence to company policies and high-performance standards.
  • Handle purchasing transactions and conduct sales analyses to support business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and international agents, delivering regular client reports and updates.
  • Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and customs brokers to ensure smooth tracking of shipments and resolution of issues.
  • Analyze logistics performance metrics, report to the Sea Freight Manager, and pursue initiatives for continuous improvement in logistics processes to boost efficiency and cut costs.
  • Collaborate across departments to fulfill customer requirements and tackle logistical hurdles.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in export logistics to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications:

  • Must have finished a two to three-year post-secondary education program.
  • At least two years of experience in export logistics, freight forwarding, or a similar role.
  • Deep understanding of international shipping rules, customs processes, and required documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Skilled in logistics software and MS Office.
  • Pays attention to detail and has excellent problem-solving skills.

Remuneration:

  • $31.35 per hour on 37.5 hours per week work schedule.
  • Dental Care and Extended Insurance Available.
