Position Overview

We are looking for a Laborer to join our evening shift. As part of the production shop the Laborer is responsible for operating and maintaining saw machines to cut metal materials according to specified measurements and requirements. This role is critical in ensuring that metal parts are cut accurately, efficiently, and safely to support the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and cut material as required by the manufacturing line
• Collaborate with the workshop foreman to provide solutions for design or material issues
• Plan work sequence and cut material to ensure cost-effectiveness
• Organize and label parts clearly and accurately.
• Set up and operate various equipment such as torches, drills, various clamping tools, squares, disc grinders, and other handheld tools.
• Adhere to all safety standards and keep the workstation clean and organized.

Skills Required

• Prior experience in working with metal
• Welding and/or CNC operating skills are considered an asset
• Ability to read and interpret design drawings
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Organized and reliable
• Having a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
