We are seeking Support Staff for a 1-1 client in a long term care facility in Sutton. The shifts are from 8am-8pm Mondays and Wednesdays. We are seeking part-time to full-time individuals who can commit to the schedule and pick up extra shifts as needed.
PSWs and DSWs are welcome to apply!
Job Benefits:

- Minimal personal care is required for this client
The successful candidate's areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Providing behaviour support and management
- Providing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support
- Assisting facility staff with personal care including eating, dressing, transferring, toileting, hygiene, grooming, and bathing as neededMaintaining open communication with client and the facility about their care
- Monitoring care plan and adding documentation with any changes and updates
- Responding to all emergency situations
- All other duties, as assigned
Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:
- Valid First Aid/CPR certificate
- Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Satisfactory professional references
- Previous working experience as a caregiver or PSW is required*
- Behaviour management experience is required**
- Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
- Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters
