Position: Packaging Associate Reports to: Manager, Production
Shift: Afternoon Shift (Sunday to Thursday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
Location: Abbotsford and Mission, BC
Our Packaging Associate will be responsible for packaging various products in our Baking Division and assisting the Lead Hands on our packing lines! You will also be fulfilling various production duties, including sanitation, keeping your work area clean, and communicating well with your team members to ensure a proper workflow!

  • Strong attention to detail (weighting, measuring, verifying labels, etc.)
  • You are able to follow processes and work diligently with minimal supervision
Skills & experience
  • You understand basic production principles, processes, and equipment
  • Prior experience in food manufacturing is an asset
  • You have good communication skills (verbal and written), i.e., able to understand direction and communicate back as required

  • Food Safety Certificate

things you will do…
  • Fill various packaging (boxes, pouches, totes) and palletize product
  • Use of pallet jack and/or forklift (training will be provided)
  • Verify correct weight per item or ingredient
  • Assist QA in performing basic quality checks
  • Communicate any problems to appropriate stakeholders including lead hands, supervisors, maintenance, and more
  • Follow all given instructions including work and safety procedures or standards
  • Diligently follow all food safety regulations
  • Performing cleaning (sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, etc) at end of each shift as well as when requested
  • You may be required to fill in across other similar roles in the Plant as needed
  • Additional duties as required

  • You will be working in environments with mobile equipment and heavy-duty equipment
  • You are able to work flexible shifts, including Mornings, Afternoons, and Nights, as the job requires
