OverviewThe Senior Accountant - Audit plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements through their expertise in auditing and accounting principles. This remote position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute financial and operational audits
  • Review and analyze accounting records and financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other applicable standards
  • Identify and assess risk factors and internal controls
  • Develop audit programs and testing procedures
  • Communicate audit findings and recommendations to management
  • Participate in meetings with clients and external audit teams
  • Conduct follow-up reviews to track the implementation of audit recommendations
  • Assist in the training and mentorship of junior staff
  • Contribute to the improvement of audit processes and methodologies
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and best practices in auditing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects and initiatives

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA certification or equivalent professional designation
  • 2+ years of experience in public accounting or internal audit
  • Thorough understanding of auditing standards and procedures
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex regulations and guidelines
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and SEC regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of integrity and ethical behavior
  • Advanced proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Experience with ERP systems and data analytics tools is a plus
