We want YOU to join our team! We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Seasonal Line Cook/Pizza Maker. This individual will be responsible for creating food and pizzas that meet/exceed our member's expectations with respect to presentation, taste and quality.

Islington Golf Club is a private club founded in 1923, during the "Golden Age" of golf course construction. In 2019, we were awarded Club of the Year by the Canadian Managers Association of Canada. In 2022, we were privileged to host the practice facilities for the RBC Canadian Open. In 2023, we celebrated our 100th anniversary!

What you bring:

• Minimum 2 of years' experience using wood burning pizza oven or in a similar environment
• Experience in a private Club environment- an asset
• Must be familiar with various methods of pizza preparation- dough baking, shaping, making
• Ability to cope in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility- work hours are based on business demands (evenings and weekends)

What you will do:

• Utilizes ingredients to minimize waste and spoilage
• Aware of the importance of food quality: taste appeal, presentation and preparation of all food
• Prepares food/pizza in accordance to established presentation, portion and recipe standards
• Knowledge of station set up- ensures levels are adequate based on volume of business
• Follows instructions during development of all recipes
• Maintain a clean and neat work environment throughout entire shift
• Maintain a neat professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules
• Cleans all areas of the kitchen; sanitizes areas where applicable
• Covers, dates and neatly stores all current and leftover re-useable products
• Organizes fridges, freezers and storeroom daily

Rate: $19/hr - $20/hr
