They are looking to hire a Director of People & Culture. This leader will play a pivotal role in shaping & executing their people strategy, and driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive people strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives
- Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure HR and culture initiatives support and drive business success
- Lead recruitment efforts to attract and hire top talent, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workforce
- Develop retention strategies, employee recognition programs, and career development opportunities
- Create and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction
- Oversee programs that support the physical and mental well-being of employees
- Design and manage performance evaluation processes to drive a high-performance culture
- Provide guidance on professional development and career growth opportunities.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, fostering a culture of belonging
- Serve as a point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and resolution
- Implement fair and consistent HR policies and procedures
- Develop and execute training programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities
- Support the continuous learning and development of the workforce
- Utilize HR analytics to measure and report on key HR metrics and trends
- Make data-driven recommendations to enhance HR processes
- Developing HR strategies that align with company goals and culture
- Ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations
- Managing and maintaining the HR budget and metrics
- Ensuring clear and effective team communication
Requirements
- Must be located in Toronto - this is a fully onsite job that will require you to be in the office
- 4+ years of experience working within HR and People & Culture function
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration or a related field
- Strong knowledge of Ontario's employment standards & laws
- Ability to work and communicate with all different employee levels
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing HR & culture strategies, processes, best practices
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders at one time
- Strong knowledge of risk management, performance management and labor relations
- Knowledge of Worker's Compensation
- Strong technical aptitude with experience using both ATS and HRIS systems.
- Experience leading high-volume talent acquisition, employee development and retention
