Position Summary

We are seeking qualified Scaffolder Foreman with oil & gas industrial experience to support our current scaffolding team. This position will require work in the Edmonton area, Fort Saskatchewan, and other out of town locations. The successful candidate will report to the site General Foremen.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Safely leading a team to erect, maintain, repair, and modify all types of industrial scaffolding.
  • Estimating scaffolding jobs when needed.
  • Inspecting and tagging scaffolding accordingly.
  • Utilizing site drawings and written instructions to select materials required to set ground levels for scaffolds.
  • Installing steel pipes and supporting braces and clamps to form bases for scaffolds.
  • Lifting and positioning sections of scaffolding and bolts pipes together to build scaffolding as per site requirements.
  • Placing planks over horizontal bars to create platforms.
  • Monitoring levels in scaffolding structures to ensure stability.
  • Dismantling scaffolding at the completion.
  • Leading and planning the implementation of the project.
  • Determining objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion.
  • Executing the project according to project plan.
  • Monitoring progress and making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion of the project.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Must be a Registered Scaffolder Journeyman through SAIA or provide proof of hours on company letter head or T4s.
  • 5 years foreman experience required.
  • D&A testing could be required for various jobs.
  • Ability to produce daily & routine reports and general correspondence.
  • Ability to lead a team in a working foreman environment.
  • Previous oil and gas/construction industry experience.
  • Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
  • Self-starter requiring minimal supervision with the ability to multitask and define properties.
  • Strong communicator, able to understand instructions and communicate effectively.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet quality standards.
