About the Opportunity

The Human Resources team is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Talent Acquisition Specialist to support the full-cycle recruitment process across the organization ensuring a positive candidate experience. You will play a pivotal role in delivering innovative recruitment strategies and providing recommendations on enhancements to current approach in the talent space. As a key member of our team you will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, screening and presenting top-tier talent for unique roles in addition to collaboration on HR projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Facilitate the full-cycle recruitment process for all job vacancies while advising hiring managers in all aspects of the cycle.
  • Sourcing candidates for unique roles and exploring varied recruitment strategies.
  • Work closely with hiring managers and HR Team to ensure candidate experience through entire lifecycle aligns with UJA's values.
  • Create, review and post job postings for UJA and partner agencies to community website (jewishtoronto.com) and LinkedIn
  • Lead projects that support innovative approaches to sourcing funded and non funded roles and for overall innovation in the talent acquisition space.
  • Create and maintain recruitment analytics and metrics.
  • Conduct hiring manager intake meetings to ensure alignment on resourcing strategy and regular communication at every step of the recruitment process.
  • Screen resumes for suitability and fit and conduct phone interviews with potential candidates, while ensuring a positive candidate experience
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews on behalf of hiring manager
  • Facilitate the job offer process including creation of offer letters and processing background checks
  • Support on onboarding process for successful candidates coordinating with various stakeholders.
  • Properly document the talent acquisition process for each job opening to ensure compliance with best practices and review to determine areas of opportunity.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree in Human Resources/Recruitment or related field, or equivalent experience working in a recruitment role.
  • 3+ years' relevant work experience
  • Previous experience with Linkedin
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to quickly build rapport with colleagues and candidates
  • Proactive with excellent organizational, prioritizing and time-management skills
  • Maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
