The Opportunity:

BluMetric is seeking a full-time Intermediate Proposal Coordinator to join our dynamic Market Development Support Team (MDST). The Intermediate Proposal Coordinator will have several tasks including the drafting of proposal documents and marketing materials. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable and a strong communicator. They should be able to work independently and as part of a team, in an office or hybrid setting.

Key Responsibilities:

As part of the MDST, you will contribute to the drafting and submission of high-quality proposals. You will be responsible for developing complete and compelling documents in response to the requirements outlined in request for proposals (RFP). On any given proposal this may include some or all of the following tasks:

  • Conduct a thorough review and analysis of the RFP.
  • Identify the critical path and schedule for developing a response.
  • Design a document that addresses all the required content in the correct order.
  • Work with an identified proposal team and assume a leadership role.
  • Manage all required content elements in accordance with the defined schedule and ensure that the proposal team is aware of all requirements.
  • Create text for proposals and work with the proposal team to adapt existing material into new material, as required.
  • Draft project descriptions and employee CVs as needed to incorporate into the proposal.
  • Interact closely with external project partners to identify their requirements and incorporate their contributions.
  • Arrange internal reviews, provide strict quality assurance checks, and edit/proofread documents.
  • Manage the proposal compilation and ensure on-time submission.
  • Participate in follow-ups and debriefs.

Other supporting tasks of the position include:

  • Ensure up-to-date information is added to BluMetric's corporate proposal databases.
  • Create and update employee CVs using BluMetric's template.
  • Maintain corporate registrations as required.
  • Complete other corporate duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering field.
  • Bilingualism in French and English.
  • Minimum three years of experience with technical writing in a science or engineering field.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to multi-task and produce high-quality deliverables under pressure.
  • Ability to lead small proposal teams.
  • Substantial experience with Microsoft suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) databases an asset.
  • Experience in the environmental consulting field is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Ontario and Quebec legislation is an asset.
  • Aptitude for, or interest in graphic design is an asset.
  • Occasional travel between offices may be required.
