Role Summary

The Packaging Services Associate is responsible for assisting the workflow within the Packaging Services group. This includes coordinating and executing a variety of Private Label and National Brand packaging initiatives, such as packaging artwork development and specification, and helping to execute packaging projects. This individual will interface with all levels of the organization, primarily across business units and the operations group.

Responsibilities

· Pack Copy—Gather and collate bilingual pack copy for all inner and outer components. Ensure that the copy is accurate and approved by the customer (if applicable), category marketing, PD, and QA.

· Packaging Artwork—Develop artwork, with customers and/or category marketing, for all inner and outer packaging components based on the relevant brand standards, certifications, image licensing, and regulatory requirements. Packaging artwork design/monitoring is ongoing with every new product launch and production run.

· Packaging Approvals & Timelines Management—Work with internal and external parties to ensure that all packaging designs/changes meet the regulatory requirements for import/export according to the territories of manufacture and that all relevant stakeholders have approved each component to meet production deadlines.

· Administration – Maintain the artwork archive, customer codes, customer requirements, and all supporting documentation for the Packaging Services group.

· Education – Continuously update job-related knowledge and skills through training, seminars, trade shows and industry exposure.

Skills Required

· A university or college education in graphic design or a related field is an asset.

· Experience in Packaging Development is an asset.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Advanced user of Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop programs and competent user of MS Office applications.

· CPG/Food and Beverage industry knowledge is an asset.
