Position: Fire Alarm Electrician

Full-Time

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fire alarm systems.
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain Emergency Lighting Equipment or other electrical systems used in life safety.

Requirements:

• Certified electrician with relevant licenses.
• Proven experience with fire alarm systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Knowledge of electrical standards for installation and repairs of Fire Alarm Systems
• Aptitude for mathematics and science
• Creative and logical approach to problem solving
• Ability to understand specification documents
• Ability to work alone or as a member of a team
• Interest in the latest techniques and technology involved in the electrical trade and fire alarm industry

Job Description:

• New installations, repairs and replacements of various electrical equipment. Such as: emergency lighting fixtures, exit sign fixtures, fire alarm panels, electrical control and distribution equipment.
• Pull wire through conduits and through holes in walls and floors
• Connect electrical power to signalling devices
• Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment
• Assist coworkers as needed

Applicants must be able to work as an electrician in the province of British Columbia. Proof of certification will be required.

Office hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The chosen applicant will be eligible for overtime and would in time be expected to join our after hours on-call rotation.
