The Fraser Valley Child Development Centre is a community based organization providing innovative, strength based, family centered services to children, youth and their families on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Stó:lō and Nlaka'pamux peoples. We are located in the beautiful Fraser Valley, close to nature and city. Our work focuses on child development – supporting, advocating, and empowering children and families. POSITION TYPE: Temporary, Full-Time (1 Year). There could be a potential to extend this position beyond one year term.
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Department Leader, this role focuses on holistic caseload management, employing clinically proven methods to assess, plan, and implement infant and child development programs. You'll engage directly with infants and children, implementing tailored programs, and empower caregivers and the community through training initiatives. This multifaceted approach creates a developmental environment that addresses individual needs while extending a positive impact to the broader community. WHAT YOU NEED:
- Degree in an area related to early childhood development.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in the field of pediatric disabilities
- Training and experience in working with families
- Valid BC driver's license with reliable use of a car for work
