Job Title: Vendor Management Consultant Job ID: TW515495427Location: Edmonton, ABOverview:Our client is looking for a skilled Vendor Management Consultant to join their amazing team. You will be working on a project that will design and deliver an overall Vendor Management Framework. What you will be doing:

• Gathering inputs and requirements from key business areas and stakeholders, including but not limited to procurement, service management, contract management and IT security.
• Conducting a review of existing vendors and related processes, systems, and controls.
• Create a set of criteria or characteristics for ‘key vendors'. (The corporate risk management framework is a key input of this stage.)
• Outlining key steps and considerations for the management of all vendors over their lifecycle. This must include initiation and termination of vendor relationships.
• Establishing a formal process to obtain, review and assess the service audit reports for all key vendors.
• Create a standard vendor management scorecard template that can be applied to
• Provide recommendations resultant of the Vendor Management Framework that will inform the implementation of a new service management system (ITSM) in 2023.
• Provide recommendations regarding required functionality for a new contract management system (currently using MS Access which must be replaced).
• Identify high-risk vendors, evaluate internal controls for both the organization and the service provider, and articulate mitigation strategies for each identified vendor.

What you must have:

• Background in materials management, with an emphasis on vendor management, contract management, procurement and purchasing (in order of importance)
• Contract management, procurement and purchasing experience
• Strong understanding of internal controls
• Project coordination or similar work management experience
• Experience in Conducting interviews and documenting existing and to be process end state
• Experience in documenting and developing gap analysis report
• Experience in developing procurement and vendor management frameworks
• Experience in developing draft vendor scorecards
• Experience in developing initial vendor management and procurement templates

Nice to have:

• Audit management / response experience
• Third party risk management / supply chain risk management experience
