Key responsibilities:
Trimming, cutting, deboning, and grinding as well as weighing, and packing of meat and poultry products.
Keeping inventory to maintain appropriate stock levels.
Receive, inspect, and store meat upon delivery.
Providing courteous, positive, and efficient customer service, responding to customer requests appropriately.
Follow sanitation standards when cleaning equipment, counter tops and working areas to prevent meat contamination.
Monitor sharpening and adjusting to all cutting and grinding equipment.
Other duties may be assigned based on business needs, including end of day equipment and maintenance.
Job Requirements
Post-Secondary certification and / or meat cutting training program.
Minimum 2 years meat cutting experience, including knife skills in a large format retail food environment.
Exceptional customer service skills with a talent for building customer loyalty.
Skilled at working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining multiple priorities and a high level of performance.
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, as well as organizational abilities
Driven and able to work independently under pressure in a fast- paced environment.
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and be constantly standing for an entire shift.
Flexibility to work a variety of hours which may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
