Role Summary/Purpose

Lufkin is hiring an Electrician in Estevan, Saskatchewan.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain all Lufkin Automation products.
  • Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs. Maintain parts ordering and replacement.
  • Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers. Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices.
  • Repair or replace components, wiring, equipment, using hand tools and power tools. Perform Preventive Maintenance where needed.
  • Fully participate in EHS Management Program and comply with all Environmental, Health and Safety regulations
  • Ensure compliance in respective areas of control with all QHSE Management System requirements, policies and procedures
  • Ensure product quality, workmanship and conformance to all applicable processes, requirements and regulatory standards in accordance with the established quality assurance system
  • Be a proactive team member and identify particular needs for product lines and/or processes
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Red Seal Journeyman Electrician Ticket
  • Able to work well on a team or independently depending on job requirements.
  • 4+ years' experience in the electrical trade
  • VFD Experience is a big asset, willing to train right candidate.
  • PLC/ Function block logic is an asset.
  • Must be familiar with downhole equipment/ Pumping units.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions, analyze, and interpret working drawings, technical specifications, etc.
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Experience with overhead lifting equipment
  • High School GED (General Education Diploma) or equivalent
  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
  • Willing to travel for work to other store locations as needed.
  • Must have strong computer knowledge, and willing to grow this skill as computers are a big part of this job.
  • Must be able to maintain a work truck, a truck and shop inventory, an expense account.
  • Good time management with daily jobs, incoming jobs and phone support.
  • Must be willing to work OT.
  • Must be willing to work weekends and Holidays.
  • Must be willing to be On Call.
  • General shop duties including ship and receive, keeping a clean shop, good communication skills with other divisions in the same building.
  • Must be willing to run a Forklift.
  • Must be willing to train Customers on Lufkin's product lines in a classroom setting. (Once trained)
