Job Description – Logistics Operations Manager

We are seeking a motivated and self efficient Logistics Manager who will report to the Dass Logistics Director. In this position, your responsibilities would include ensuring customer satisfaction and ensuring the movement, distribution of all goods in conjunction with the Dispatchers and Sales team.

As a Logistics Manager at Dass Logistics you will:

· Make prospecting calls to provide logistics solutions for your future clients

· Solicit freight from new and existing clients to meet sales targets

· Conduct meetings with potential customers across North America

· Manage opportunities and increase lead conversions and provide regular reports on sales activities

· Develop and maintain relationships with customers resulting in residual business

· Collect and file necessary paperwork for timely payment

· Perform various account management tasks such as load building, appointment scheduling, phone management and email correspondence

· Responsible for over-looking Logistics Team to ensure efficiency of tasks performed and exceeding goal expectations

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent – Business, Engineering Economics, Supply Chain and other analytical field

· Minimum 5 years managing a medium to large team

· 1-3 years logistics industry experience required

· Strong Excel, PowerPoint Skills and Logistics applications

· Good communicator, capable of clearly describing complex problems and connect with other areas and bale to manage team performance as needed

· Organized with a sense of urgency

· Focus and Discipline in the execution and management of the routine

· Self-motivated, results-oriented and adaptable
