Summary

This is a new and unique role for our team. As the Events and Guest Experience Manager, you can wear our operations' two most fun hats.

The successful candidate will plan, coordinate, and execute catering events, ensuring exceptional service and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen attention to detail. You will work closely with clients, vendors, and the catering team to deliver memorable experiences.

You will also be working closely with our Marketing team. You will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of our marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness, generate leads, and drive customer engagement. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality marketing initiatives. Creative thinking will be instrumental in executing successful campaigns and promoting our brands: Chances Casino, Just Jacks Restaurant and Pomeroy Conference Centre.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conference and event planning and coordination are done through collaboration with clients to understand their event requirements, plan menus, and coordinate logistics.
  • Develop and manage budgets for each event, monitoring costs and ensuring profitability. Prepare financial reports and identify opportunities for cost savings or revenue growth.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and strive for overall customer happiness.
  • Coordinate and execute marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital advertising, social media, email marketing, in-person events, and content creation, to generate new customers and drive brand visibility.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop content, including website copy, blog posts, social media updates, and marketing collateral.
  • Assist in creating and editing visually appealing memos, presentations, sales materials, and proposals to support the business.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Post-secondary education in marketing, tourism, or equivalent work-related experience.
  • Proven experience in sales, event management, and marketing. Minimum 3 years experience in hotel catering/sales, industry an asset.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing platforms and tools, email marketing software, social media management tools, and web analytics, or an interest in learning.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and generate innovative marketing ideas.
  • Superb customer service skills with a passion for the service industry

This position is fast-paced and excellent for individuals seeking variety in their day. Some evenings and weekends are also required as you will be our brand's spokesperson and ambassador.

Must obtain a Gaming Policy Enforcement Branch (GPEB) license.
