Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy individual to join our team as a Senior accounting and Payroll Administrator. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, and managing employee records. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of accounting principles, exceptional data entry skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks . The salary offered will be contingent upon the candidate's experience level.
Responsibilities:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy individual to join our team as a Senior accounting and Payroll Administrator. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, and managing employee records. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of accounting principles, exceptional data entry skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks . The salary offered will be contingent upon the candidate's experience level.
Responsibilities:
- Record and maintain financial transactions such as purchases, sales revenue, invoices, and payments using Excel and QuickBooks.
- Prepare interim financial statements on a quarterly basis.
- Process payroll and maintain employee records.
- Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and generate financial reports.
- Calculate and prepare payments for payroll, utilities, taxes, and other bills.
- Complete and submit various government documents including tax remittances, ROE's, GST reports, and T4's.
- Manage accounts receivable duties including preparing invoices, monitoring payments, and managing customer files.
- Manage accounts payable duties including entering purchase orders and vendor invoices, processing payments, and maintaining vendor files.
- Monitor cash flow and reconcile bank accounts.
- Manage petty cash records and reconciliation.
- Maintain employee records and files.
- Manage employee benefits program and worker's compensation board program.
- Exceptional personality working independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Basic accounting knowledge and understanding of payroll best practices.
- Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to produce work with a high level of accuracy.
- Extensive experience in Payroll and PCP certification is ideal.
