CASUAL LABOURER – PROPERTIES File Number: SV24-22
Position Type: Temporary Full-Time
Number of Positions: Two (2)
Hourly Rate: $22.47 per hour
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
Department: Community Services

Work Location: Varied throughout Belleville, ON
Approximate Contract Length: Limited to 160 working days per calendar year

PURPOSE AND SCOPE
Reporting directly to the Property Supervisor, the Casual Labourer will be responsible for maintenance and repairs to various buildings and structures with a focus on external building repairs, drywall repairs and painting.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Painting of various building locations and structures
  • Minor electrical repairs such as light switches and outlets
  • Minor renovation work involving drywall, wood and concrete structures
  • Minor masonry repairs
  • Minor plumbing repairs such as taps, toilets and showers
  • Door and door hardware repairs.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid Class 'G' Ontario Driver's License.
  • Experience in building maintenance and repairs.
  • Carpentry, drywall, and painting experience.
  • Experience using both power and hand tools.
  • General knowledge of plumbing and electrical an asset.
  • Candidates must have safety footwear.
