Summary

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in JavaScript, Python, and PHP, and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications. They will also be flexible and open to the kinds of opportunities seen in a small embedded and results-focused team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement software solutions using JavaScript, Python, and PHP to collect, manage, and analyze data
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize requirements
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Participate in agile development methodologies
• Design business processes appropriate to accomplish client goals
• Analyze data to support senior decision makers

Requirements:

• Non-negotiable (contracting terms with our client):
  • Canadian citizenship
  • Ability to maintain a Government of Canada Level 2 (SECRET) Security Clearance (Great work-life balance: You can't take your work home with you!)
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science
  • 3+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer
  • Able to work onsite in Ottawa 95% of the time
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, and PHP
• Experience with MySQL, SQL Server, or other relational database systems
• Experience with HTML and CSS
• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Strong command of oral and written English

The Work:

Assist senior leaders and military personnel making long-term strategic planning decisions as part of an embedded team of technical generalists. The successful candidate will have opportunities to explore many roles as they work on a diverse set of projects to support rapidly evolving requirements and priorities in a results-focused environment.

Kindly Note:

Location: 95% Onsite, 5% Remote

Due to the nature of the work, the successful candidate will be required to live in the National Capital Region (Ottawa-Gatineau metropolitan area) of Canada and (for security reasons) be able to work onsite at Department of National Defence Headquarters (60 Moodie Dr) almost full time. (A small amount of off-site work is possible.)
