BURNCO is currently hiring a Customer Service Representative for our ready-mix operations in Edmonton, Alberta. Reporting to our Edmonton Production Manager, you will be working in a central call center office environment monitoring daily orders and scheduling deliveries to provide our customers with industry-leading customer service.

This is a full-time, hourly position in an exciting and extremely high-paced environment that will require overtime shifts and occasional Saturday shifts during the seasonally busy times.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Schedule orders to maximize delivery efficiently.
  • Contact customers when there are concrete schedule changes.
  • Work together with customers, sales, and operations to optimize delivery and plant utilization.
  • Validate order details with customer.
  • Provide prices for COD customers.
  • Ensure that value added products and premium services are offered on all orders.
  • Maintain positive and professional telephone etiquette.
  • Ensures your workplace is neat and organized.
  • Collaborate with other departments and divisions within BURNCO.
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

What We Need from You

  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
  • Experience working with concrete is an asset.
  • Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
  • Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills.
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work well under pressure, in a busy environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Computer literate, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Willing to train the right candidate.
