One of our manufacturing clients is looking for a General Machinist at Brampton, ON location for their facility.

Responsibilities:

- Develop CNC code from provided CAD data.
- Set up machining tools, offsets, and materials according to program instructions.
- Run CNC code and verify finished components as necessary.
- Collaborate with Design Engineers, Project Leaders, Toolmakers, and Apprentices to optimize manufacturing processes for high-volume components, identifying potential improvements and resolving construction issues.
- Ensure customer requirements are met, including project timelines, part quality, and delivery.
- Maintain organized job folders and electronic data records.
- Participate in meetings as needed.
- Promote a safe, clean, and organized shop environment for efficient and secure manufacturing practices.
- Discuss project direction with the Project Leader.
- Inform the supervisor of any program-related issues.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to colleagues as needed.
- Facilitate effective communication within the program team.
- Accurately record and submit timesheets promptly.
- Adhere to all documented quality procedures.
