We currently have an opening for an ambitious Field Tech 1 – Welder/Fabricator. This position is temporary, full-time, and project based, with the possibility of becoming permanent and, for a highly motivated professional, has tremendous growth opportunities.

Location: Project Site Specific (Burrard Street, Vancouver)

Hours: 10-hour days

As a Field Tech 1 – Welder/Fabricator, you will be responsible to:

• Safely operate various power tools including, MIG welders, saws, presses, and punching equipment;
• Perform light gauge metal welding and have a practical understanding of metal door frames and their uses;
• Utilize a flat welding position with occasional up-hand;
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to workplace policies;
• Provide exceptional customer service and work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders.

Your Experience:

• Ideally, you bring 1-2+ years of general welding experience or applied trades training;
• Experience operating a forklift or reach truck is considered an asset;
• Experience with hollow metal fabrication or a strong mechanical background is considered an asset;
• Auto body shop experience, including Bondo work is considered an asset.

Your Skills:

• Demonstrated attention to detail and focused on producing top quality work;
• Quick learner and eager to take on new challenges, while adapting to jobs as needed;
• Perform work unsupervised and as part of a team;
• Ability to understand blueprints, details, and interpret specifications.
