Employment Services is a dynamic and result-oriented program within CPU that offers a range of resources, supports and services to respond to job seekers' employment needs and employers' hiring demands. Employment Services aims to help Ontarians find sustainable employment by connecting them to gainful employment opportunities and guiding individuals on a path to higher skills and training to achieve their career goals.
What You Will Do
  • Process client information and other documents by resolving inconsistencies and reviewing data for errors using standard data entry procedures.
  • Enter Client & Employer data into EOIS CaMS & Internal CRM Database
  • Effectively maintain contract/client files, ensuring files are complete, organized and filed appropriately for ease of retrieval. Archives closed files in a designated area.
  • Ensure compliance with Company Policies and Guidelines, Strategic Direction, and Contractual Guidelines.
  • This position will support the 815 Danforth Ave. Employment Service Location.
  • Request further information for files or documents that are deemed incomplete.
  • Verify, correct, or combine data from several sources before entering a record.
  • Comply with data integrity and security policies.
  • Update the Training Manual for EOIS CaMS and training staff on the database.
  • Track client files to ensure files were activated within 72 hours of intake.
  • Track Better Jobs Ontario and other statistics as required; submit reports to the EO Manager.
  • Provide backup support & coverage to the Front Desk/Reception area for the Employment Team
  • Collect, review & submit financial documents to upload into WoodGreen's accounting platform for client, employer & program payments.
What You Bring to the Team
  • 2+ years' work experience in data entry and/or office administration
  • Minimum of Grade 12 education
  • Advanced skills utilizing all Microsoft Office Applications and proficiency in various database programs.
  • Minimum of 50 net wpm typing
  • In-depth knowledge of the Employment Ontario Data Management System (EOIS CaMS)

What Will Set You Apart
  • In-depth knowledge of Employment Ontario's case management requirements, client eligibility and in-depth knowledge of Client Data Base Management Systems is an asset.
  • Ability to work with a high level of initiative and self-direction.
  • Exceptional organizational skills include setting priorities, monitoring progress toward goals, and achieving results within clearly specified timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment and is a well-organized team player who can manage change/transitions with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Good decision-making, judgment and problem-solving skills to know and understand when escalation of complex issues to Management is required.
  • Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to learn quickly, adaptable, flexible, and resourceful.
