Our Client, Moonfleet Poultry in Harriston, ON is looking for a qualified and resourceful Human Resources Generalist to support in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. As an HR Generalist, you will play a critical role in various HR functions, including administration, regulatory compliance, recruitment, onboarding, payroll, employee relations, and training and development.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute HR programs including, but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; training and development; and attendance management.
• Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, conducting reference checks, and issuing employment contracts
• Assist with all internal and external HR related matters
• Participate in developing organizational HR policies, programs and resources
• Train and provide guidance regarding HR policies, programs and resources
• Manage occupational and non-occupational claims and the return-to-work process
• Support the foreign worker program
• Provide support and act as backup for payroll processing
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law

Required Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Prior knowledge or experience processing payroll (ADP)
• Proficient understanding of employment legislation, WSIB, and OSHA
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Education and Experience:
• College diploma or university degree in Human Resources or a related program; or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive HR Generalist experience
• Payroll (ADP) and claims management experience
• CHRP/CHRL; or pursuing, is considered an asset
