Job Summary

The Trade Accelerator Program (TAP) Coordinator contributes to the success of the Trade team by leading the logistics for all cohorts and collaborates with the TAP specialist on planning for all provincial cohorts of the Trade Accelerator Program. As the TAP Coordinator, you will wear many hats keeping our team on track with respect to programming, administration, budgets, and events. But you will also have the opportunity to work on a few projects of your own – really, what we're saying is no two days are ever the same.

This is a 10 month full-time contract with the possibility of an extension for an additional year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of yearly calendar of events, coordination with Marketing on invitations, RSVP management, collateral as needed working with the TAP Community Specialist and Coordinator
  • Support in the recruitment of TAP by supporting in the planning and execution of all Export meetups.
  • Lead the venue booking, catering orders, and other event logistics for all provincial TAP Cohorts while collaborating with the TAP Specialist.
  • Support the TAP Specialist on TAP administrative items such as: speaker scheduling, mentorship day scheduling, slack communication and TAP Canada tracking requirements
  • Provide boots on the ground event support for TAP cohorts and recruitment events.
  • Lead the monthly reporting including tracking KPI's
  • Act as the budget tracker for the trade team making sure all ISED funding is being utilized.
  • Manage the trade team CRM strategy including the input and tracking of companies, opportunities and wins on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Support the Director – Trade and finance manager in quarterly Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) reporting and grant utilization tracking, including PO creation, invoice processing etc.

Education:

  • Post-secondary education such as a degree in business administration or international business is an asset
  • Minor in FNCE or ACCT is beneficial.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible experience in a directly related area during which professional capability has been clearly demonstrated.
  • Business Development and/or Trade/export related experience would be considered an asset.
  • Experience in event coordination, client relations; and budget management is also an asset.

Note: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, deal with several people and tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish priorities for own workload based upon need for immediate action, work objectives and schedules requiring independent judgment.
  • Experience working effectively in a fast-paced environment and during stressful periods, while maintaining a composed disposition.
  • Detail focused and strong project, event, and budget management skills.
  • Event planning and execution
  • Microsoft office (MS office, Excel, Word, Windows 10), CRM experience
