  • Install, configure, and support an organizations local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN) and Internet system or a segment of a network system.
  • Responsible for monitoring network to ensure network availability to all system users.
Education/Experience.
  • Associate degree in computer related field required.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science preferred.
  • 2 to 4 years experience required.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
  • Ability to identify, interpret and evaluate system and network requirements. Knowledge of computer hardware and software as it related to LAN/WAN.
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.
  • Configure, monitor and maintain email applications or virus protection software.
  • Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
L3 Tech support includes but is not limited to:
  • Server landing/decommission Landing preparation Rail/hardware installation Cabling Remote management setup Prep for shipping if needed
  • Designate parts identified for waterfall usage Proper Hard Drive handling and disposal Unboxing/boxing of servers, ISM paperwork for shipments Provide Escort Service for vendors/techs
  • Maintain ISMP ticketing system RFID application/scanning, inventory labeling
Requirements:
  • 3+ years technical experience desired.
  • Must be willing to travel between buildings using personal car/foot.
  • Must be able to work independently and be flexible.
  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs. solo.
  • May be required to walk/sit/stand/crawl/kneel for extended periods.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills and excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Requires knowledge of Microsoft suite (Outlook, Excel and Word primarily), Windows 8 and Windows 10.
  • Technical certifications a plus.
