CLINICAL THERAPIST, (Ontario Structured Psychotherapy Program)

Regular full time – French language designated

Position: Under the management of the Program Director, and clinical consultation from HSN, the Clinical Therapist will provide short-term evidence based treatment to adult clients of the OSP program experiencing depression, anxiety and anxiety-related symptoms, by using CBT and CPT methodology. Assist in providing service navigation for clients as required. Participates in the OSP training program and ongoing education as required. Collaborate with team members across the OSP program's network of organizations in the provision of care. The clinical therapist will utilize an anti-oppression and trauma based perspective. Will promote health, safety and wellness in the work place. This position will promote healthy functioning by resolving potential conflict at the earliest possible opportunity. The successful candidate will contribute to solution-focused dialogue regards clinical consultation with internal and community colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • MA/MSW, BA/BSW in social sciences, and registration with a professional college that grants the designation to practice psychotherapy.
  • Demonstrated ability with anti-oppression. principles and practice.
  • Formal CBT / CPT training with supervision/clinical consultation following the OSP model is preferred. principles and practice.
  • Demonstrated excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in providing psychotherapy.
  • Conflict resolution skills, in addition to evidence of ethical practice
  • Strong organizational and record keeping skills, including ability to master multiple electronic database systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant sections of legislation
  • Knowledge and expertise in Indigenous Cultural Safety and Anti-Oppression, Anti-Racism practices
  • Demonstrated team collaboration
  • Valid driver's license in the province of Ontario and use of an automobile
  • French language required
