Our client, a global biopharmaceutical company, is seeking a Senior Manager, Reimbursement & Market Access to join their team. The incumbent is responsible for developing and implementing reimbursement and pricing strategies for current and emerging products.Key Responsibilities
- Analyze reimbursement trends and devises market access strategies to enhance access for Canadian patients across both public and private sectors.
- Orchestrates the entire reimbursement process, spanning from preparation and submission to ongoing management and enhancement of product listings on major formularies, ensuring alignment with brand value propositions.
- Oversees product pricing assessments, formulates pricing strategies, and submits proposals to the Patented Medicine Prices Review Board (PMPRB).
- Pioneers innovative approaches for product listing agreements and spearheads negotiations with the pan-Canadian Pharmaceutical Alliance (pCPA).
- Supervises the development of relevant pharmacoeconomic models to support reimbursement strategies.
- Manages tenders and contracts with hospital group purchasing organizations (GPOs) for designated products.
- Engages as an integral member of cross-functional brand teams, actively contributing to the alignment and execution of reimbursement and value & access strategies in conjunction with commercial objectives.
- Collaborates closely with Brand Teams to ensure seamless information sharing and effective execution of commercial strategies from a value & access perspective.
- Coordinates with Global Pricing & Market Access teams to maintain consistency with global strategies, policies, and objectives.
- Designs and implements tactical plans to secure and sustain optimal product access, including the generation of real-world evidence for designated products.
- Promptly reports any potential adverse events, safety information, or product complaints for the company's products to the Medical Information and Pharmacovigilance department, adhering to company protocols.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Science, Pharmacy or related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- 5+ years in a Market Access role, with experience in Rare Diseases preferred.
- Proficient understanding of the pharmaceutical landscape, encompassing both private and public markets, with a track record of working across various therapeutic areas.
- Hands-on experience in preparing Health Technology Assessment (HTA) submissions, including familiarity with organizations such as INESSS and CADTH.
- Proven experience navigating private payer reimbursement policies and procedures within the Canadian context.
- Strong negotiation skills, including extensive experience in crafting and implementing contracts.
- Ability to translate clinical data into a compelling scientific value proposition that addresses payer needs.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
- Proven track record in project management, showcasing the ability to effectively oversee multiple initiatives.
- Strategic mindset with the capacity to formulate, develop, and execute strategies.
- Demonstrated analytical acumen for data-driven decision-making.
- Proficiency in French is an asset.
