As a Centralized Warranty Administrator you will be responsible for processing warranty claims for multiple branches within our entity, from interpreting completed warranty/field modification work orders and filing claims within the manufacturers' warranty processing portals to performing functions to support the work order process.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manages and processes service warranty claims for their assigned branch locations.
  • Support the work order process to ensure that all charges for warranty and field modification are posted properly and any corrections are made prior to the submission of the claim.
  • Composes warranty claims in line with claims adjudicators guidelines at the manufacturers' warranty processing centers.
  • Completes required electronic claim forms with high accuracy, using proper labor code failures, and listing materials, as required by different vendors.
  • Monitor & assist their assigned locations' warranty WIP levels.
  • Manages and filters warranty WIP reports for status updates.
  • Closes warranty repair orders.
  • Participates in monitoring existing warranties and quoting extended warranty from the OEM supplied tools.
  • Monitors OEM dashboards for required warranty parts returns.
  • Monitors warranty statuses on OEM dashboards to reconcile credit notes with warranty claims for branch sign-off.
  • Maintains an excellent line of communication with all vendors.
  • Assists in implementing standardized warranty claim processes.
  • Works with service managers to ensure Pending Field Mods are actioned.
  • Understands warranty regulations and can distinguish incomplete data on work orders for branch corrections.
  • Participates in Service & Parts Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
  • Always employ workplace health and safety practices.
  • Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • In-depth knowledge of warranty processes and procedures in Compact/Heavy Construction/Material Handling equipment industry an asset.
  • 3+ years of related experience in Compact/Heavy Construction/Material Handling equipment warranty (considered an asset) or a related field.
  • Ability to work with OEM telematics to support Warranty Claims Failures.
  • Strong computer skills required. Proficient with MS Office, with an emphasis in Excel and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of service process and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with OEMs, teammates and customers.
  • Self-starter, with ability to proactively problem-solve and think logically.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a positive attitude, with good interpersonal skills.
  • Good verbal and strong written communication skills.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.

  • Able to learn and utilize operating database.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) essential.
  • Post-secondary diploma or trade certification preferred.

Compensation Package:
  • Salary between $55-$65k depending on experience and qualifications.
  • 3 weeks vacation.

Working Conditions: The Centralized Warranty Administrator works 40 hours on average per week Monday to Friday.
