Horizon is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic (Red Seal) to maintain and repair our fleet of hydrovac, tree care, boom trucks, and heavy equipment. As the heavy duty mechanic, you'll ensure our equipment operates safely and efficiently through regular inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment, including Hydrovac, Tree Care Boom Trucks, and mobile equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and keep detailed records.
• Train others in repair and maintenance procedures.
• Ensure tools and equipment are well-maintained.
• Provide exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma and Red Seal certification required.
• Experience: 3+ years as a Red Seal Mechanic, 2+ years welding, clean Driver's Abstract.
• Skills: Proficient in troubleshooting, heavy equipment maintenance, and hydraulic/electronic systems. Strong communication and computer skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent lifting (30-60lbs), standing, sitting, and walking.

Work Environment:

• Mainly indoor shop work with occasional outdoor jobsite tasks.

Compensation

• Salary: $95,000 - $115,000.
• 20 days PTO (15 vacation, 5 sick days).
