Position Title: Multifamily Construction Project Manager

Job Description:

Sphere is collaborating with an established Developer seeking a driven and experienced Project Manager to join their growing team. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the construction process from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Qualifications:

Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related engineering or construction management program

Proven experience in multifamily construction project management, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a similar role

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes

Proficiency in project management software and tools

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks

Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities

PMP or other relevant certifications is an asset

Responsibilities:

Develop project requirements, cost estimates, and budgets

Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment with project objectives.

Negotiate and award contracts

Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Monitor project financial performance and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Select key personnel and subcontractors for the project

Implement quality control measures to uphold construction standards and meet regulatory requirements. Conduct regular site inspections to assess workmanship and address any issues promptly.

Resolve disputes, negotiate change orders, and communicate decisions to owners, subcontractors, and management personnel

Assist the management team in developing project tracking systems and criteria to assess project performance (e.g., quality, timeliness, client satisfaction)

Collaborate with management to pinpoint areas for project improvement

Promote and uphold an industry-leading corporate safety culture through mentoring, including the enforcement of safety policies and best practices

Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, and external partners. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration to ensure project objectives are met.

Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project goals and foster a collaborative work environment. Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members, promoting professional development and growth.
