About the Role:

The Sales & Purchasing Data Analyst gathers, analyses, and reports data related to the spare department's core business performance metrics. This includes both internal and external metrics systems. This individual will be responsible for the creation and guidance of analysts as they work on special projects and daily tasks.

Reporting

The Sales & Purchasing Analyst reports directly to the Senior Director of Spares.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Inventory analysis and proposal evaluation for the Senior Director of Spares.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory turns.
  • Complete supply chain operational analysis and projects as recommended or required.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives related to sales and purchasing.
  • Support business decision by tracking and providing reports on opportunity/threat analysis, promotional ROI and forecasting sales.
  • Contribute to the streamlining of the sales/purchasing process.
  • Work with internal partners to apply sales data to organizational development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to maintain/improve cross functional communication and decision making.
  • Gather, analyze, and distribute sales data.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related program(s) is considered an asset.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • A good understanding of the sales and purchasing lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical skills, applicable to supply chain measurement and business process improvement.
  • Experience with Quantum or other ERP Systems preferred.
  • High Level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suites, particularly Excel.
  • Basic SQL and database skills.
  • Work and communicate effectively within a team environment to accomplish team goals.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail; accuracy.
  • Ability to summarize large and complex amounts of data and present in a concise manner to upper management.

Experience

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a sale or purchasing position.
  • Experience with data collection and analysis is required.
  • Aviation and/or Sales/Purchasing experience is considered an asset.
