Welder / General Labourer

Clearwater Structures is general contractor and an industry leader in the heavy civil construction sector. We specialize in new bridge construction and rehabilitation, hydraulic lifting, concrete restoration, dam construction and several other services. We are looking to hire Welder/General Labourer to add to our crews across the Hamilton/Brantford and surrounding areas including other areas in Southwest Ontario.

Job Requirements:

• Welding MIG, TIG, STICK - all positions
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Inspect completed work to ensure welds meet quality and compliance standards
• Load, unload, and move construction materials
• Placement of signs and barriers for traffic control
• Erect and dismantle forms, panels, scaffolding, ramps, shoring, and barricades required at construction sites
• Assist form setters, carpenters, cement finishers, pre-cast installers, cold form steel installers,
• Operate various air/power tools, such as chipping gun, jackhammer, etc.
• Keep tools, equipment, and jobsite clean and maintained
• Follow safety protocols at all times, maintaining personal and workplace safety

Skills & Experience:

• Certified Welder - MIG, TIG, STICK - all positions
• Proven welding experience
• Heavy Construction Industry experience preferred
• Solid knowledge of welding processes
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to handle physically demanding work such as lifting and carrying 50+ lbs, standing, walking, digging, bending, etc.
• Commitment to Safety
• Ability to work occasional nights/weekends when required

What we offer:

• $39.75/hr
