Position: Social Media Manager - Richmond Hill
Location: Will generally work remotely with the occasional need to come into the Richmond Hill office for weekly meetings and location-specific content creation. This position will also consist of intermittent travel to various parts of the US and Canada.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and creative Social Media Manager to join our dynamic marketing team in our exciting start-up environment. As a Social Media Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing our social media strategy across various platforms to enhance brand awareness, engage with our audience, and drive business growth. You will be responsible for crafting compelling content, managing social media campaigns, analyzing performance metrics, and staying up to date with industry trends.
The ideal candidate should be a social media enthusiast with a passion for storytelling, a keen eye for detail, and a strong understanding of social media analytics. Responsibilities:
Develop and implement an effective social media strategy in alignment with the company's marketing objectives and target audience.
Create and curate engaging and shareable content (including text, image, video, and other media) that reflects the brand's voice and values.
Manage day-to-day social media activities, including scheduling, publishing, and monitoring posts across various platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).
Respond promptly to comments, messages, and inquiries from the audience, maintaining a positive and professional online presence.
Monitor social media trends, tools, and best practices to incorporate innovative strategies into the overall marketing plan.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (designers, writers, marketing, etc.) to ensure cohesive and consistent messaging across all channels.
Track and analyze social media metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly to achieve KPIs.
Identify and engage with influencers, partners, and relevant communities to expand brand reach and foster positive relationships.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging social media platforms to provide insightful recommendations and stay ahead of the curve.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven work experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, demonstrating successful management of social media platforms for brands or businesses.
Portfolio to links to professional posts is required.
Experience working with companies selling and launching new products is preferred.
Proficient in using social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, Klayvio) and understanding social media analytics.
Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to create compelling and grammatically accurate content.
Knowledge of graphic design and basic photo/video editing skills to create visually appealing content.
Familiarity with social media advertising and sponsored content campaigns.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse audiences.
A proactive and creative mindset, always seeking new opportunities to engage the audience and drive growth.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.
Understanding of SEO principles and how they apply to social media content is a plus. Passion for social media trends, digital marketing, and staying up to date with the latest industry developments.
