The Position:

Ram Industries was founded to meet the Hydraulic Cylinder demands of North American manufacturers. RAMs extensive experience in hydraulic cylinders offers clients the combined expertise of its employees, equipment, and facilities to provide customized cylinder solutions for their equipment and applications.Ram Industries works directly with engineers, business owners, procurement teams, project managers, and other equipment specialists who require a custom approach to their cylinder specifications in terms of fit, function, and overall performance.

The Controller plays an important role in financial reporting and business operations as well as a key member of the management team. Overseeing the Administration and Accounting Department, the successful candidate works closely with management to plan, direct, and coordinate all company accounting operational functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate timely completion of monthly, mid-year, and year-end financial reports based on the Companys financial calendar.
• Oversee all areas that influence financial control of the companys assets such as credit approvals, collections, customer communications, cash flow, vendor relations, AR, and AP.
• Manage, mentor, and coordinate accounting team activities to achieve timely and accurate account processing, postings, and reconciliations.
• Implement procedures for accurate inventory system reporting.
• Be involved in leadership conversations and work surrounding annual business plans, budgets, and analysis to recommend and lead decisions necessary to meet profitability objectives.

Qualifications:

• Post-Secondary Education in Business with a preference in Accounting and Finance.
• Canadian CPA Designation.
• 5+ years Canadian experience leading an accounting department in a related role.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or processing environment is considered a strong asset.
