ABOUT ISLAMIC RELIEF:

JOB PURPOSE:

To support the operations of the National Fundraising Team and help enable team cohesion, growth, and achieve department goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Operations Manager and team on national fundraising campaigns and events
  • Develop systems and processes to support the National team on major campaigns (i.e. Ramadan collections, fundraisers, national challenges, etc)
  • Oversee crowdfunding pages and manage logistics of crowdfunding campaigns (communication with campaign creator, creatives, information on the cause, etc)
  • Prepare and submit requests for marketing collateral for fundraising campaigns and events
  • Liaise with National team to organize regional events and activities
  • Track profit/loss after events and campaigns
  • Oversee/submit department invoices, expenses, reimbursements to finance
  • Support Operations Manager and team with day-to-day tasks

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

  • Post-Secondary Education; University degree preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize Excel and prepare documents
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Fluency in French is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail required
  • Proven capacity to work collaboratively and proactively with colleagues; to work effectively independently and in a team; and to work under time-bound and stressful
  • Strong motivation and empathy towards the aims and objectives of the organisation
  • Numerical skills, the ability to work accurately under pressure and pay attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills i.e. ability to prioritise and plan work, set and achieve deadlines, establish and maintain monitoring systems etc.

Other:

  • Have a flexible approach to work in order to accommodate events, functions and work activity
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada
