Residential Solar Designer – Permanent Full Time
SkyFire Energy is looking for a Residential Solar Designer to become part of our solar electric team in Calgary, AB. This individual will be self-motivated, energetic, personable, and excited to work as part of a fast-growing company in the solar industry.
Primary duties include:
- Conduct Site Visits to project locations to collect data, measurements and drone photos
- Liaise with Solar Specialists (Residential Sales) to understand customer requirements
- Create solar roof layouts using various software
- Create Residential system Bill of Materials and Installation Plan
- Liaise with Project Managers and Construction Managers to communicate Installation Plan
- Email and phone correspondence with other SFE staff and Vendors
- Stay current with new and emerging solar technologies
- Willingness to travel within our service area
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the construction, electrical, and/or solar industry
- 6+ months of experience in solar design or installation
- Proficient with Google Suite including G-Sheets, Gmail and Docs
- Ability to learn new software quickly

- High level of organization
- Class 5 driver's license with a good driving record
