This position is in general radiology with the opportunity to also work in other modalities, including mammography and CT. This position reports to the Manager, Diagnostic Imaging and Cardiovascular Diagnostics and is under the guidance of a Charge Technologist.

About Diagnostic Imaging at BGH:

We offer general radiology, fluoroscopy, bone mineral density, mammography, computerized tomography (CT) and, new this year, MRI. Our services are 24/7 with overnight shifts and/ or on-call.

Training opportunities:

Mammography- Paid 6 weeks on the job training in our new Mammography Suite with state-of the art mammography equipment. Opportunity to apply for partial course reimbursement through our staff education fund.

CT – Paid 8 weeks on the job training and full course fee reimbursement for CAMRT's CT Imaging 1, 2, 3 courses and venepuncture and contrast media injections certification.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited training program in medical imaging – radiography.
  • Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
  • Current CPR Certification and maintained throughout employment.
  • Experience is not required. New graduated welcome!
