The Project Manager is defined as being the person who handles all jobs assigned, from start to completion. As a Project Manager, you will be required to oversee each project by monitoring the performance of multiple teams engaged in the project delivery, ensuring the project is completed within a pre-established life cycle. Scope of Daily Work
The ideal candidate will possess a strong operations background, with the ability to handle multiple projects whilst maintaining quality and professionalism. The below accountabilities are a chronological list of a job from beginning to end.
  • Intake Assigns Project Manager (PM) to an incoming job.
  • PM attends job site, scopes the magnitude of the loss, delivering findings to mitigation and estimating who will partner to identify the work to be done to return the property back to its pre-loss condition. This will include photos, necessary measurements, and any important information from the customer. PM will upload Preliminary Report, transfer photos to Xactanalysis from RMS.
  • PM requests Mitigation team for emergency work to begin after work authorization has been collected from Customer.
  • Order ICC/Asbestos samples taken as needed.
  • Dispatch necessary sub-trades for work quotes (Flooring vendor, Electricians, Plumbers, Specialty Trades).
  • Schedule follow up meeting with the Customer.
  • Take post demo photos, finalize scope of emergency, and rebuild scope.
  • Walk Customer through what is included in the scope.
  • Set expectations with the insured on the next steps.
  • PM begins to prepare Budget to complete job.
  • PM sends job to Estimating Department, who will be responsible for creating an estimate from the scope document that includes line items and prices for each element identified as work that needs to be performed.
  • Ensure all post demo photos are uploaded to appropriate file storage systems.
  • Psychometric readings completed if necessary.
  • Emergency functions completed.
  • Confirm Quotes are submitted by sub-trades.
  • Complete any information necessary for rebuild scope.
  • Estimate will be forwarded back to PM after initial estimate has been completed.
  • Review estimate, begin necessary work orders, and prepare the finalized job budget.
  • Call insured, get rebuild work authorization signed, ensure deductible is paid.
  • Dispatch rebuild work orders to Rebuild Team.
  • Update file continuously with communication from various departments, insurance carriers, customer.
  • Close Job; celebrate with customer.
  • Finalize file by reviewing job costs.
Skills and Knowledge
  • More than 3 years experience in Project Management, within the construction, restoration, and building industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects whilst making sure the customer is taken care of.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team player skills.
  • Ability to handle conflict and think on your feet.
  • Able to make confident decisions and defend as required.
  • Achieve monthly department targets and KPIs.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize urgent concerns.
  • Advanced ability to influence, persuade, and negotiate project resources to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Advanced proficiency in developing and maintaining relationships with project stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated and quality driven.
  • Ability to manage relationships and expectations.
  • Strong understanding of the Ontario Health and Safety Act.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office applications in particular MS Excel, MS Outlook, along with the ability to quickly learn new applications.
  • Maintain a level of confidentiality.
  • Must maintain a valid drivers license, insurance, and reliable vehicle.
  • Must provide a clear criminal record.
  • Being part of the On-Call Team.
  • All other duties as necessary.
