The role:

We're looking to add a Part Time Feed Delivery Driver to our Fortified Nutrition team in Morden Manitoba. Our delivery team helps maintain and grow the business and strives to build positive and long-lasting relationships with the customer. This is not simply a “pick up and drop off” delivery department. We're so much more than that. As a key member of our delivery team, you will make on-farm deliveries operating with a high level of professionalism, customer service, and care and will take care of general maintenance and repairs of your delivery vehicle. As the successful candidate for this role, you will be organized and efficient, mechanically inclined, and have great communication and problem solving skills.

Normal hours of operation for this position are Monday to Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm. You will be provided with approximately 8-16 hours per week and hours will vary given the nature of the business. When needed, you will act as a backfill for the full-time Feed Delivery Drivers, to cover vacations, illnesses and leaves of absence.

Starting wage is between $23-$25/hour.

What you'll do:

  • Organize orders and load the feed truck based on the dispatcher's instructions
  • Safely and accurately transport, deliver and unload bulk and bag feed
  • Check customer directions and customer on-farm instructions to avoid delivery errors
  • Follow customer's instructions and comply with protocols
  • Maintain the delivery equipment and make sure it's in good working order reporting anything that doesn't look in good working order
  • Conduct regular routine maintenance on the equipment
  • Build positive long-lasting relationships with the customers and consistently remain in good standing with the customers
  • Participate in good housekeeping practices
  • Adhere to good manufacturing, driving and bio-security practices
  • Participate in good health and safety workplace practices

Your background includes:

  • 2+ years of relevant working experience in a delivery role
  • A Valid Class 3A License is required
  • A Clean Drivers Abstract
  • Physically fit with the ability to repetitively lift 25 kg bags
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized and efficient
  • General knowledge of farming and agriculture is an asset
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
