The successful candidate will be a member of the marketing team, providing a high level of support and professionalism with a focus specifically on marketing and communications while reporting to the Director, Marketing and Communications, and working closely with the Assistant Manager, Digital and Creative Marketing, on CHW's marketing deliverables.

*Working in a hybrid office environment, work from home will be negotiable. Marketing Communications team based out of Toronto.

Compensation:

$55,000 - $65,000

Responsibilities:
  • Help with the creation of marketing materials, content for ORAH donor magazine, website updates, e-blasts and e-newsletters, brochures, annual impact report, all other marketing and donor collateral, and maintaining social media platforms. Includes creative storytelling, proofreading, and copywriting.
  • Contribute to the development of and implement marketing communication strategies, ensuring that CHW's strategic goals are aligned across all platforms and distribution channels.
  • Assist with the planning, designing, and executing the organization's annual and special campaigns, including direct mail and email solicitations.
  • Oversee and maintain corporate branding guidelines to ensure that all print, web, and display materials appropriately convey the CHW visual brand.
  • Coordinate the marketing and communications calendar, to ensure all deliverables are on schedule.
  • Create captivating content for social media and manage social media platforms and regular upkeep associated with the accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).
  • Responsible for social media engagement and growth.
  • Manage the CHW digital and print advertisement purchases and track analytics to ensure that they achieve goals and objectives.
  • Strategize, create, and analyze Google AdWords.
  • Create quarterly social media reports and report on performance and growth.
  • Assist with the collection and processing of data analytics (Google Analytics, etc.).
  • Participate in weekly team meetings (via ZOOM).
  • Opportunity to take on a more creative role involving some design and basic video editing.
  • Scan the media marketplace to keep up-to-date on the latest media trends.
  • Proactively seek media coverage for newsworthy initiatives. Help develop press releases and news updates. Help develop media contacts.
  • Distribute specifications to print vendors for tender or quoting purposes.
  • Track vendor invoices and ensure finance team has information for payment.
  • Attend local CHW events in the GTA to photograph/video for social media (approx. one per month.).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a marketing role with demonstrated success, skills, knowledge, and experience in the execution of marketing and communications strategies.
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign and Photoshop); CANVA.
  • Experience with social media and digital marketing.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, experience with creative writing, proofreading, and copyediting.
  • Experience with CMS (WordPress).
  • Must be a team player with proven ability to work well within diverse groups including staff teams and with engaged volunteers.
  • High level of computer literacy including proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experience with Luminate Online is considered an asset.
  • Video editing capabilities are considered an asset.
  • Independent self-starter capable of handling multiple projects and competing priorities under tight deadlines and ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience developing, managing, and implementing strategic marketing and communications plans.
  • Interest in the non-profit sector and fundraising.
  • Access to and use of a car is required occasionally.
