Key Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • Receives and, when necessary, investigates client's accounts payable invoices. Pay supplier invoices in a timely manner;
  • Cash management including deposits, cheque run, wire transfer preparation;
  • Manage, report, and remit sales taxes to authorities;
  • Record cash receipts and make bank deposits;
  • Conduct monthly reconciliation of every bank account;
  • Journalize entries as required;
  • Create inter-company entries and prepare inter-company invoices;
  • Calculate commission payments for sales reps;
  • Government filing on monthly basis;
  • Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy, including bank accounts, credit card statements, and inventory;
  • Work with team to track and monitor financial budgets;
  • Manage and handle the external auditors for our annual review and taxes;
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system;
  • Process payroll in a timely manner;
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested.

Must Haves:

  • Post-secondary qualification in accounting and/or equivalent accounting experience;
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles (ASPE).

Great to Haves:

  • CPA or equivalent designation
  • Working knowledge of Netsuite and/or SalesForce
