Position Overview:
As a Project Coordinator, you will be supervising Contractors performing Pole Top Transformer Replacements. The Project Coordinator will report directly to the Project Manager. This position is primarily based out of Fredericton and will require travel and extended stays working on sites in various areas of New Brunswick. The schedule of hours is variable depending on the project and could include weekends and shifts up to 12 hours per day. This project is expected to last approximately 26 weeks until end of November, 2024 and dates are subject to change.
Key Responsibilities:
Directs, manages and coordinates all activities on siteConducts regular site meetingsSupervises contractors on siteCoordinates with Materials Planner Monitors, evaluates and reports progress against constructions scheduleEnsure quality of the work and deficiency identification and correctionWorks with site leads to identify required materials and equipment, coordinating with material planner and workgroup supervisorsEnsures safety and security of siteProvides regular progress reporting to Project ManagerResponsible for enforcing Field Change Authorization process with on-site contractorsEnsures that any Environmental and quality control protection requirements are on site are carried outAssists Project Manager with project closeout activitiesQualifications:Fluency in both official languages, French and English is requiredMust be a qualified Journeyman Lineman holding a certificate of qualification issued under the Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification Act. Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Power Line Technician (PLT) in distribution with supervisory experienceQuality Control/Assurance experience is requiredSafety expertise and experience is requiredMust have a valid driver's licenseWhy Choose NB Power:
