THE ROLE

As a machine operator, you will be working in a steel manufacturing facility, operating a robotic welder. This is a great temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a mid size facility for a reputable and leading company in steel distribution industry. You will be working in a team environment on the afternoon shift. This is a growing company that is very busy right now. This position is located inHamilton on a bus route.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Machine operation of a robotic welder
• Record pre-inspection results and submit weekly.
• Operate equipment in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.
• Maintain the housekeeping of the equipment and work area.
• Perform daily greasing of equipment
• Lifts work piece manually, by forklift or by overhead crane, positions and secures against guides and stops.
• Measures dimensions of work piece, using tape, gauge, template, or rule and square, for conformance to specifications.

REQUIREMENTS

• 1 years experience as a machine operator
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs
• Steel manufacturing experience
• Work safely and follow all company policies, procedures, and work practices
• Have a great team attitude and willingness to help
• Experience using precision measuring tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Good communication skills
