Company Overview: Fraser Valley Refrigeration is a rapidly growing and dynamic organization of approximately 150 employees working across 4 Western Canadian provinces, specializing in the fields of industrial and institutional Refrigeration (cold storage, food and industrial process cooling, recreational ice), HVAC and mechanical services and retrofit. With a workforce of over 100 field technicians, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ammonia Service Team Leader to oversee and support the operational and field processes for our ammonia specialty business across our regional company. Job title: Refrigeration Projects Field Superintendent, FVRL

Reporting: Reports to Commercial Refrigeration Construction Managers, and works closely with the field installation teams

Position Overview:

The Refrigeration Projects Field Superintendent is responsible for scheduling and coordinating the installing refrigeration, controls, and electrical teams from the time of contract award of large commercial refrigeration projects until their completion. This individual works closely with the project management team to to create project schedules and documentation.

Field & Project Support:

  • Manage project requirements proactively
  • Coordinate and allocate labour and materiel as required
  • Coordinate subcontractor and subtrades' work consistent with project schedule
  • Oversee and provide guidance to field resources with ongoing work as required
  • Oversee work performed to ensure quality control and compliance with specification or design requirements.
  • Ensure consistent application of safety regulations, and company policies.

Communication and Administrative

  • Provide progress reports to both clients and Fraser Valley project manager throughout the project delivery
  • Ensure any required (Billable) changes to project scope are communicated and handled within 24hrs
  • Related to above, complete necessary on-site take-offs for quoting and change orders
  • Identify any project slip (potentially non billable changes) immediately to Project Manager
  • Build and maintain professional rapport with all customers, trade, suppliers, TSBC officers
  • Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proven commercial refrigeration industry experience is essential
  • Relevant refrigeration education with current certifications an asset.
  • Project Management experience within a related field
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using service management software and tools.
  • Ability to travel between branches as needed.
  • Strong communicator in all aspects of their work with technicians, customers and administrative colleagues
  • Possess valid Driver's Licence.

Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 per annum Total Targeted Compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications.
