As our Senior Accountant you will be responsible for various full cycle bookkeeping activities and supporting month end reconciliations and reporting, as well as providing general accounting support. Some of the expectations of this role include:

  • Preparing and entering daily and month-end journal entries;
  • Performing account analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, intercompany accounts, capital assets, accruals, prepaids and corporate credit card accounts;
  • Preparing and filling quarterly sales tax returns;
  • Preparing documentation for external auditors;
  • Administering accounts payable and accounts receivable in line with the company's established accounting processes;
  • Maintaining digital filing and record keeping; and
  • Supporting execution of various accounting activities and projects as required.

  • Knowledge of GAAP, as well as demonstrated proficiency working with various computerized accounting and/or ERP systems such as Syspro, and software such as Microsoft Office is a must.

They must also possess the following experience and/or education:

NOTE: All combinations of education in a related field and experience will be considered.

  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years' experience full-cycle accounting, preferably in a multi-divisional/multi-jurisdictional organization
  • Business Management Diploma or Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting
