Boat Cleaner

Employment Type: Part-time, 4 days/week for 4-hour shifts, 6 am start. Days can be flexible.

Anticipated start date: Immediate

Wage: $21.00/hr

Reporting to:

The Boat Cleaner takes direction from the Head of Maintenance with respect to daily operations. This is an important front-line, first-impression position and the Boat Cleaner is responsible for the exterior and interior cleaning of the Victoria Harbour Ferries.

Responsibilities:

• Punctually arriving for scheduled shifts
• Spraying boats off with a hose to clean any salt that has accumulated
• Using the correct equipment to clean windows
• Sweeping floors, mopping
• Cleaning any deep stains with brushes and other hand tools
• Sanitizing all surfaces
• Cleaning the cabin and taking the trash out
• Deep clean with a vacuum
• Complete duties before the boats leave for the day

• Methodical and detailed
• Ability to work independently
