Job Summary:

As the Vice President of the Climate Systems (CS) Business Unit at Swegon North America, you will be responsible for leading the strategic direction, growth initiatives, and operational excellence of our business unit focused on climate control systems. Reporting directly to the Managing Director (President) of Swegon North America, you will drive business performance, customer satisfaction, and market leadership in the HVAC industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive growth, profitability, and best-in-class customer experience for the CS Business within the HVAC industry.
  • Define the vision, goals, and objectives for the business unit, aligning with company strategy and market trends.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, differentiation, and competitive advantage in climate control technologies and solutions.
  • Be an integral and contributing member of the Executive Committee that leads the larger North American entity.

Product Implementation and Innovation:

  • Lead the introduction to North America of products from our European sister companies.
  • Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and design teams to deliver innovative and market-leading solutions.
  • Conduct market research in collaboration with marketing, customer feedback analysis, and competitive benchmarking to inform product priorities and feature enhancements.
  • Drive continuous improvement and product lifecycle management processes to ensure product quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

Sales and Market Development:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market share expansion for climate systems across targeted segments.
  • Cultivate relationships with key customers, channel partners, and industry influencers to enhance market penetration and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, pipeline development, and market trends to optimize sales efforts and capitalize on emerging opportunities.

Strategic Partnerships and Alliances:

  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures (internal) to enhance product offerings, market reach, and value proposition for customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage partner ecosystems and drive integrated solutions that meet customer needs.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Provide strong leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the Climate Systems Business Unit team, fostering a culture of customer intimacy, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent within the organization, ensuring alignment with business goals and core values.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear objectives, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to support professional growth and development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in the HVAC industry, with a focus on climate control systems and solutions.
  • Proven track record of success in strategic planning, product development, sales leadership, and operational management.
  • Deep understanding of HVAC technologies, market dynamics, and customer requirements, with a passion for great customer experiences.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and financial acumen, with the ability to drive business results and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving performance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support business activities, attend industry events, and meet with customers and partners (Canada, USA & International)
